The KORAT & THAI CAT ASSOCIATION is a small friendly club with members scattered throughout Britain, plus a few overseas. We are held together by a love of our unique and fascinating breed and work together to promote its best interests, and oversee its general welfare.
- To promote the healthy breeding of Korat & Thai cats in their ancient natural type.
- To represent the breeds’ interests and welfare to the GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE CAT FANCY.
- To provide members with advice on Korat & Thai breeding and welfare.
- To promote the welfare and kind treatment of all cats.
The K&TCA is the only specialist breed club for Korat & Thai cats affiliated to the GCCF. A delegate attends all Council meetings to represent club interests, and the Secretary is happy to liaise with the GCCF Office on behalf of any K&TCA member.
GCCF affiliation gives the K&TCA the right to send representatives to the BREED ADVISORY COMMITTEE which deals with the appointment and training of judges, changes to the Standard of Points, and other such issues of great importance to those who breed and show Korat & Thai cats. The K&TCA is also affiliated to the FELINE ADVISORY BUREAU and receives its magazine giving news of veterinary topics, and general information very relevant to all cat owners.

AN ANNUAL SHOW, TROPHIES AND ROSETTES. Each year there is a special Korat & Thai Championship Show. There are also Annual Awards to be won. All members have the opportunity to enter the special club classes put on at several of the major all-breed Championship Shows. Pet Korat & Thai owners are not forgotten either.
SOCIAL EVENTS AND SEMINARS. Like all other clubs the K&TCA has an Annual Meeting, ours is in the spring, and offers at least one other social occasion when members can get to know one another and learn more on a variety of feline topics.
BREEDING AND WELFARE ADVICE. The K&TCA has leaflets giving guidelines on breeding and showing, lists of breeders and stud owners can also be provided. Most importantly, any Committee Member is happy to be contacted to give advice on all Korat topics and will cat chat at any show.
